Little did I know that when I photographed Lyla Anne she would take my images and write beautiful poetry. I don't think there is much higher purpose than the ability to inspire someone else's creative spark.

THREE PART POEM SERIES Poetry by LL

I fell in love with someone who one day up and decided to leave.

How can you say you care then suddenly not choose me?

For this was not the first time, you see.

The second and the third time he even said he needed me.

For growth, for change, and for healing.

He said he believed in me…

But don’t you see, you are a human being.

You have the capacity to control your own healing.

As he looked at me confused, I knew I had to choose.

Between him or me, or else I would lose.

This made him even more confused…

Then suddenly I realized he didn’t need me.

He had left a long time ago unfaithfully.

So I must have fallen in love with the Phantom of the Opera, you see.

Because real love never leaves.
